The statement
Secretary of State Rubio told Al Jazeera the Strait of Hormuz would reopen one way or another, that messages and some direct talks were taking place through intermediaries, that Iran's air force had been destroyed and its navy largely destroyed, and rejected Iran's demand for sovereignty over the strait.
