The statement
Trump said US forces had "totally obliterated every MILITARY target" on Kharg Island and that "for reasons of decency" he had chosen not to wipe out its oil infrastructure, but would reconsider if anyone interfered with ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. He said Iran was "totally defeated and wants a deal" but not one he would accept.
