Parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Iran would not enter further negotiations until the memorandum's conditions were met, that Iran, the US and Lebanon would form a committee to oversee the end of the war in Lebanon, and that sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz lies with Oman and Iran.
