Yemen's information minister Moammar al-Eryani told Reuters that government forces had secured effective control of the Bab el-Mandeb strait and taken Dhubab airstrip, though another government source said fighting continued at a nearby base, as carried by gCaptain. The Houthis called the claims "completely untrue". Coalition spokesman Turki al-Malki said 100 fighter jets were supporting the offensive and 324 "high-value" Houthi targets had been destroyed, The National reported; the figures are the coalition's own. The National reported the government also claimed the port city of Mokha. Government sources told Reuters the Houthis had cut parts of a mountain road near Taiz.
