Israeli airstrikes killed at least seven people in southern Lebanon, two in Kfar Dajal, three in Lwaizeh and two in Shoukin, Lebanon's National News Agency reported, according to AP. In the border village of Yaroun, Israeli bulldozers damaged part of an empty convent of the Basilian Salvatorian Sisters; the Israeli military said troops stopped once they learned the building was linked to a church and said Hezbollah had used the compound, which the Catholic Church in Lebanon rejected. An Israeli military spokesperson said about 50 strikes had been carried out on Hezbollah targets in 24 hours, and the military told residents of nine villages to leave. Al Jazeera put the toll from about 50 strikes over the 24 hours at no fewer than 41 and said the military threatened 12 towns, naming 11. A US-brokered Israel-Lebanon ceasefire has nominally held since 17 April.
