President Trump said on Truth Social on 23 May, after calls with leaders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Pakistan, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey and Bahrain and a separate call with Netanyahu, that a memorandum of understanding had been "largely negotiated", subject to finalisation, and would include reopening the Strait of Hormuz. On 24 May Fars called his account "inconsistent with reality" and Tasnim said the draft required the US naval blockade to be fully lifted within 30 days. President Pezeshkian said no deal would be made without the Supreme Leader's permission. The old tracker dated the post 24 May.
