Senior Lebanese military sources told Anadolu that Israeli forces had crossed the Litani, their first advance beyond the river since 2006, and Al Jazeera reported troops on the outskirts of Nabatieh. The state news agency said an Israeli drone strike killed a paramedic and wounded four in Jebchit, and Lebanon's army said two soldiers were seriously wounded near Nabatieh. Israel said a soldier was killed and four wounded in southern Lebanon. Prime Minister Nawaf Salam called the escalation "dangerous and unprecedented".
