Panama-flagged tanker Kiku hit in the strait; CENTCOM says by an Iranian one-way attack drone

Reportedon one origin only: 1 distinct origin, 0 tied to no party.

The Panama-flagged tanker Kiku, carrying more than 2 million barrels of crude from the Al Shaheen field to Fujairah, was hit by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz at about 08:00 GMT on 27 June, Al Jazeera reported; no crew were hurt and no leak was reported. CENTCOM said it was a 'one-way attack drone' and that Iran had 'elected not to' honour the ceasefire. Iranian officials argue that Article 5 of the memorandum requires ships in Iranian or Omani waters to coordinate with Iran, which the US disputes.
