The UK Maritime Trade Operations centre said three ships were struck by projectiles in the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf on 11 March. The Thai-flagged bulk carrier Mayuree Naree caught fire after being hit in the strait; Oman's navy rescued 20 crew and three were missing, believed trapped near the engine room, according to the owner and the Thai navy. The container ship ONE Majesty had minor damage at anchor off Ras al-Khaimah and the bulk carrier Star Gwyneth was hit in the hold off Dubai, with no injuries reported. The IRGC said, in a statement carried by Tasnim, that its forces fired on the Thai ship because it ignored warnings.
