CENTCOM said strikes on 27 June 'at the Commander in Chief's direction' targeted Iranian surveillance infrastructure, communications, air defence sites, drone storage and minelaying capabilities, Al Jazeera reported. Explosions were reported near the village of Tahrui close to Sirik, and Iranian state media said Qeshm Island was hit; Al Jazeera later reported strikes on Sirik, Bandar-e Lengeh and Qeshm. No casualty figures were published. Trump wrote that the US could 'militarily complete the job'.
