Iran's Fars and Tasnim news agencies reported on 2 June that Iran's negotiators had stopped communicating with ceasefire mediators over Lebanon, AP reported. A regional official involved in the mediation told AP Iran had not communicated that day after saying a Lebanon ceasefire must be enforced for talks to continue. President Trump called the reports of a halt 'false and erroneous'. In a podcast released on 3 June, Trump confirmed he had called Netanyahu 'crazy' in a call on 1 June and said he was perturbed that the Hezbollah fight was holding back the Iran talks.
