Iran fires ballistic missiles at Kuwait and Bahrain; CENTCOM says all were stopped or fell short
Reportedon one origin only: 0 distinct origins, 0 tied to no party.
CENTCOM said on the evening of 2 June that two Iranian missiles fired at Kuwait fell short or broke apart en route and three fired at Bahrain were intercepted by US and Bahraini air defences, and that it shot down three one-way attack drones launched toward civilian shipping. It said no US personnel were harmed. Iranian state broadcaster IRIB said the strikes answered 'hostile actions' in the Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz and on Qeshm Island and claimed US bases in Kuwait were hit. The Maritime Executive counted it as the third Iranian missile attack on Kuwait in a week.
