Britain's Ministry of Defence said on 20 October it "will fly defensive counter air missions to support the protection of Saudi cities and critical national infrastructure against aerial attack, using RAF Typhoon fighter jets", and would extend air-to-air refuelling support, Al Jazeera reported. It said the jets would not attack the Houthis. The FII investment conference due in Riyadh on 26 to 29 October was postponed to next year, its organisers said.
