Colonel Majed al-Nazili, spokesman for the internationally recognised government's forces, said they "executed 257 precision targeting operations" against Houthi sites using warplanes, drones, artillery and missiles, including on Sanaa, Al Jazeera reported, citing Anadolu. He said initial estimates showed at least 700 Houthi fighters killed and 170 vehicles destroyed; the Houthis did not confirm the figures and they were not independently verified. Fighting had intensified across Taiz governorate since 1 October.
