The Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted a ballistic missile fired at Riyadh, a drone in the Riyadh region, a cruise missile aimed at Khamis Mushait and 10 ballistic missiles fired toward the south in a barrage that began on the evening of 24 October, Al Jazeera reported. Saudi Civil Defence said shrapnel from two intercepted missiles fell in Jeddah, Taif, Rabigh and Wadi Al-Mughammas in Mecca province, and that debris in Khamis Mushait and Ahad Rafidah injured two and damaged three homes and seven vehicles. The GCC called it "a grave violation of the sanctity of the Holy Sites"; the Houthis deny targeting holy sites.
