US Central Command said a Navy jet from the USS Abraham Lincoln disabled the unladen Iranian-flagged tanker Hasna in international waters in the Gulf of Oman on 6 May, after its crew ignored repeated warnings that it was breaching the US blockade, Anadolu reported. CENTCOM said the tanker could no longer sail to Iran and the blockade remained in full effect. Iran's foreign ministry later condemned action against two Iranian tankers as a violation of the ceasefire, AP reported.
