Israel struck Beirut's southern suburbs, the first strike on the capital since the 17 April truce, and said it killed a commander of Hezbollah's Radwan Force; the IDF later named him as Ahmad Ghaleb Balout, Ynet reported. Prime Minister Netanyahu said he and Defence Minister Israel Katz ordered the strike. Hezbollah had not responded to the claim in the reporting seen. Strikes continued in the south, where at least 13 people were killed on Wednesday, four of them in one strike in the Bekaa, Al Jazeera reported, and the military ordered residents of Deir al-Zahrani, Bafroa and Habbouch to leave.
