US Central Command said a US fighter jet struck the stern of the Panama-flagged M/V Ocean Molica, also known as Arika Sun, with a precision munition on 10 October, "fully disabling the ship's propulsion without harming the crew", after it left an Iranian port, Al Jazeera reported. CENTCOM said that since the blockade resumed on 14 July it had disabled four commercial vessels, turned around 135 and destroyed 10 tankers it linked to the IRGC. US Senator Chris Murphy questioned the strike.
