The IDF said a Hezbollah explosive drone detonated near a Givati Brigade tank in southern Lebanon early on 17 June and a second drone hit the vehicle evacuating the wounded, injuring five soldiers, one seriously, the Jerusalem Post reported. At about 5pm the same day a Hezbollah improvised explosive device detonated near soldiers on foot close to the Litani River, killing a reservist and wounding at least seven, the IDF said; it responded with artillery fire. The attacks came on the day the US-Iran memorandum, which Iran says covers Lebanon and Israel says does not bind it, was signed.
