Iran's armed forces say they manage Hormuz "with full authority" and ships must use set routes with IRGC permission

Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said on 30 May that the armed forces manage the strait "with full authority", that ships must use designated routes and obtain IRGC navy permission, and that foreign forces that interfere would face a response. A legislator said a bill on Iranian management of the strait would soon go to parliament. Tasnim said US ships were receiving CENTCOM warnings not to cross the blockade line, and IRNA said army air defences shot down a drone it attributed to the US and Israel.
