The World Health Organization said suspected cholera cases in Yemen rose from 217 in the week of 6 to 12 September to 647 in the week of 27 September to 3 October, as fighting pushed more than 200,000 people from their homes, AFP reported via Al Jazeera. WHO regional emergency director Annette Heinzelmann warned outbreaks could spread without funding and access to safe water.
