EASA advises airlines not to operate in the airspace of the Middle East and Persian Gulf at any altitude

Confirmedon an admission by the acting party plus an independent origin: 1 distinct origin, 1 tied to no party.

EASA issued Conflict Zone Information Bulletin (CZIB) 2026-03 on 28 February 2026, covering all altitudes/flight levels in the airspace of: Bahrain (Bahrain FIR - OBBB), Iran (Tehran FIR - OIIX), Iraq (Baghdad FIR - ORBB), Israel (Tel Aviv FIR - LLFI), Jordan (Amman FIR - OJAC), Kuwait (Kuwait FIR - OKAC) [...]. Its first recommendation to EU and EASA-authorised operators reads: "Not operate within the affected airspace at all flight levels and altitudes". EASA gave its validity as until 2 March 2026, unless reviewed earlier. EASA says it replaces CZIB 2026-02 R1. CZIBs are EASA recommendations to airlines; binding bans come from national authorities or EASA safety directives.
