Yemeni government says two Houthi ballistic missiles hit Aden International Airport after an evacuation warning; air traffic halted

Yemen's Transport Ministry said the Houthis struck Aden International Airport twice with ballistic missiles, at 13:00 and 15:00 local time, and called it the sixth attack on the airport within days; armed forces spokesman Majed al-Nazili said the missiles caused civilian injuries and material damage, without giving a number. An Aden police official told AFP a missile hit inside the airport perimeter, and residents told Reuters they heard an explosion near the airport; a security official told AP flights were diverted to Seiyun, and AP reported two runway craters seen in a Transport Ministry video. An aid source told Reuters that UN staff had left shortly before and no one was hurt. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree had issued what he called a final warning to evacuate the airport, saying a Saudi military cargo aircraft there was carrying weapons.
