Saudi-led coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki said on Thursday evening that air defences intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles the Houthis fired toward Riyadh. Saudi Civil Defence, in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency, said shrapnel from the interception wounded one Saudi citizen and damaged a house and a vehicle, and it had issued warning alerts for Riyadh, al-Kharj governorate and Najran beforehand. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the same evening that Houthi forces had fired several missiles at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh as one of six operations against Saudi Arabia. No Saudi, coalition or Aramco statement on a hit at the airport was found.
