The Yemeni Armed Forces Media Centre said a Houthi ballistic missile struck al-Makhaf village in the al-Aqroud area of Taiz on 2 November, killing or wounding 60 civilians including children, 26 September Net and Yemen Monitor reported. Local sources cited by Khlaasa said the missile fell in the village after a failed Houthi launch, killing 14 civilians, mostly children, and injuring 25; residents cited by 2 December News, an outlet of the National Resistance, gave the same figures as a preliminary toll and said the dead included children. No Houthi account of this missile was found. The Houthi-run economy ministry said in a statement carried by Saba the same day that Saudi troops attacked a market in al-Aqroud, killing eight civilians and injuring dozens according to preliminary reports, Demócrata reported.
