IRGC Navy says two tankers on what it calls unauthorised routes hit mines in the Strait of Hormuz and caught fire

Reported1 origin: the claimant's own report, which does not count as evidence.

The IRGC Navy said in a statement on 6 November that two oil tankers using what it called unauthorised routes, with their tracking systems off, hit mines, one east of the Strait of Hormuz and one inside it, and caught fire and were halted, Tehran Times reported. The IRGC Navy said the strait stays closed until Iran's conditions are met. It did not name the vessels or their flags, and IranWire reported that the claim had not been independently verified.
