Yemen's government said its forces struck the runway at Houthi-held Sanaa airport on 13 July to stop the landing of an Iranian aircraft carrying a Houthi delegation home from Khamenei's funeral; the plane diverted to Hodeidah, Al Jazeera and NBC (AP) reported. The Houthis blamed Saudi Arabia, which did not comment, and later said they fired ballistic missiles and drones at Abha airport; the Saudi-led coalition said its air defences intercepted ballistic missiles fired at the south of the kingdom. The Houthis declared an end to the 'de-escalation phase', the UN envoy Hans Grundberg urged restraint and the Security Council met in emergency session.
