Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree claimed attacks on facilities linked to Saudi Aramco in Jizan and Yanbu, Al Jazeera reported on 25 and 26 July. Saudi Civil Defence said sirens sounded several times in Yanbu and Jizan provinces on 25 July over a 'potential danger' that was later lifted, AP reported. Al Jazeera, citing AP and Reuters, reported a large smoke column at Jizan, where Saudi Arabia did not comment on damage, and two ballistic missiles aimed at Yanbu intercepted by a Greek-operated Patriot battery; that account dates the attack to 26 July. Reuters reported it was the first Houthi fire on Saudi Red Sea oil targets in years.
