Brent crude rose more than 6 percent on 23 July to about $100 a barrel, its highest since May and a fifth straight daily gain, after Yemen's Houthis struck Saudi-linked tankers while the Strait of Hormuz stayed shut, AP and Al Jazeera reported, citing market data and AFP and Reuters. Goldman Sachs said Brent could exceed $120 in the fourth quarter if Hormuz stays disrupted. Al Jazeera reported the average US petrol price had risen back above $4 a gallon.
