Ukraine's air force said Russia launched 465 drones and 32 missiles overnight into 10 October, targeting energy infrastructure. The energy company DTEK said more than 700,000 households in Kyiv lost power and that one of its thermal plants was damaged, its third strike that week; its chief executive called it a serious escalation. Zaporizhzhia governor Ivan Fedorov said a seven-year-old boy was killed there, and at least 24 people were injured nationwide. The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission (HRMMU) listed 10 October as the first of three large-scale October strikes on energy that caused emergency outages in most regions.
