UN envoy tells the Security Council Yemen has "slid back into full-scale war"

UN special envoy Hans Grundberg told the Security Council on 9 October that "in the past few weeks, Yemen has slid back into full-scale war, with hostilities spreading across multiple front lines", The National and Al Jazeera reported. He condemned Houthi attacks on Saudi civilian and energy infrastructure, including Abha and Riyadh airports, and said civilians were bearing the brunt. The National reported more than 200,000 people had been displaced since early August.
