Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said a ballistic missile hit the Saudi tanker Daisy in the Gulf of Aden and forced it to turn back, and that several missiles struck the tanker Wafa off Yanbu in the Red Sea, as part of what he called a blockade on Saudi Arabia, IANS reported via Siasat. UKMTO said a tanker off Yemen's southern coast heard a loud explosion nearby and all crew were safe. There was no immediate Saudi comment and the claims could not be independently verified. The Houthis declared a maritime embargo on Saudi Arabia on 20 July.
