After the fourth US-convened trilateral meeting on 2 and 3 June, the US, Lebanon and Israel said Israel and Lebanon agreed to implement a ceasefire contingent on a complete cessation of Hezbollah fire and the evacuation of its operatives from the South Litani Sector, the State Department said. The sides agreed to advance 'pilot zones' under exclusive Lebanese Armed Forces control and to reconvene the political and security tracks the week of 22 June. Hezbollah was not part of the talks. Al Jazeera's correspondent said the deal reasserted a May ceasefire that had extended an April truce by 45 days.
