Iran's Revolutionary Guards said a maritime restricted area would run from Chabahar into parts of the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea, with coordinates to be announced, and Haaretz reported the IRGC said ships passing through would have maritime, insurance and support services suspended. Iran's foreign ministry condemned the US attacks on Iranian tankers and warned of wider escalation. US Central Command said on X that IRGC claims to have struck two US Navy destroyers were completely false and that all attempted attacks failed.
