Confirmedon verified, dated visual or sensor evidence: 1 distinct origin, 1 tied to no party, with visual or sensor evidence.

Preliminary Kpler ship-tracking data reported by Reuters on 17 August showed five commodity vessels crossing the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday and none on Sunday, against 31 the previous weekend. A revised Kpler count reported on 18 August put the weekend at three on Saturday and two on Sunday, and six on Monday against a 10-day average of 11. Kpler cautions that ships sailing with transponders off are not counted. Reuters linked the slowdown to recent attacks on tankers.
