The Israeli army said on 18 April that it had established a so-called Yellow Line in southern Lebanon, south of the Litani River, and that its forces had struck a cell that approached from north of the line, actions it said were 'not restricted by the ceasefire', Anadolu reported. Defence Minister Israel Katz had said on 17 April that Israel intended to keep all areas it occupied. AFP later described the zone as a strip about 10 km deep along the border where residents have been told not to return.
