UKMTO said a cargo vessel about 40 nautical miles southeast of Mokha was struck by multiple unknown projectiles and declared a complete constructive loss, Reuters reported via The Times of Israel on 18 August, saying the strike happened the day before. The vessel was unmanned at the time. On 17 August the Houthis' military spokesman said the group attacked what he called a Saudi military ship and four escort vessels off Mokha; Saudi authorities did not confirm it.
