Iranian state TV, citing the IRGC, said an unnamed supertanker caught fire and stopped after hitting two naval mines in the southern Strait of Hormuz while trying to cross without permission, and warned other ships breaking its rules would face the same, Reuters reported via The Times of Israel. US Central Command called the claim false, saying on X that no ships have hit mines in the strait.
