Iranian commercial vessel struck off Qeshm and Hengam islands, killing one and wounding three, Iranian officials say
Reportedon one origin only: 0 distinct origins, 0 tied to no party.
Qeshm governor Amir Teymouri told Iranian state TV that a merchant vessel was struck at about 0130 GMT on 13 September off Hengam and Qeshm islands, killing one person and wounding three, without saying who carried out the strike; Tehran said the ship was an Iranian commercial vessel. AFP reported several explosions overnight around Qeshm. AFP linked the incident to a UKMTO report of a ship hit by an unknown projectile and set on fire, but that report appears to concern the tanker El Gaia off Oman; whether the two are separate incidents is not settled in the sources read. No party claimed the strike.
