The IRGC navy warned that any further attack on Iranian oil tankers or commercial vessels would bring a heavy assault on a regional base used by US forces and on enemy ships, and parliamentary committee spokesman Ebrahim Rezaei said Iran's restraint was over, Al Jazeera reported. An Iranian military spokesperson said countries enforcing US sanctions would face difficulties passing through Hormuz, Tasnim reported. The warnings followed the US disabling of three Iranian tankers since 6 May.
