10 May 2026 in brief

Lebanon's Health Ministry said Israeli attacks killed 51 people in 24 hours, including two medical workers, and put the toll since 2 March at 2,846. [1][2] The IDF said a reservist was killed when a Hezbollah explosive drone struck Israeli territory near the Lebanon border. [1] Qatar's Ministry of Defence said a drone struck a cargo ship in Qatari waters, and Kuwait and the UAE said they dealt with drones; no casualties were reported. [1] A Qatari LNG tanker bound for Pakistan made the first Qatari LNG transit of Hormuz since 28 February, Al Jazeera reported, as the IRGC navy warned that any further attack on Iranian tankers would bring a heavy assault on a regional US base and enemy ships. [1][2] Iran sent its reply to the US proposal through Pakistan, and Trump said he found it totally unacceptable. [1]
