A daytime wave of Russian cruise and ballistic missiles struck Kyiv, Kryvyi Rih and other cities. The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission (HRMMU) verified at least 43 civilians killed, including five children, and 147 injured; at Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv it recorded two killed, one of them a staff member, and at least 18 injured. HRMMU head Danielle Bell said video analysis and an on-site visit showed a high likelihood the hospital took a direct hit from a Kh-101 missile rather than interceptor debris, while noting the mission could not be fully certain. Russia's UN envoy Vassily Nebenzia told the Security Council the hospital was hit by a Ukrainian air defence missile. The HRMMU said the attack pushed July to the deadliest month for civilians since October 2022.
