A civilian found a military object in late April in a forest near Bydgoszcz in northern Poland. Polish radio RMF FM, citing the Air Force Institute of Technology, reported it could be a Russian Kh-55 cruise missile launched from Belarus that entered Poland during Russia's mass strike on Ukraine in mid-December 2022, when radar tracked an object from Belarus that was lost near Bydgoszcz. RMF FM also reported the military had not promptly notified prosecutors; the Polish army does not use the Kh-55.
