The IDF said it used more than 1,100 tonnes of explosives on the evening of 10 September to demolish two tunnels of over two kilometres beneath Ali Taher Ridge, which it called the nerve centre of Hezbollah's Badr division, completing the destruction of an eight-tunnel, 5.4 km network in the Ali Taher and Beaufort area. The US Geological Survey recorded a magnitude 4.1 tremor, AFP reported, and Lebanon's National News Agency described a massive explosion causing tremors. A source close to negotiations told AFP Hezbollah had refused a US proposal for the Lebanese army to take control of the ridge. No casualties were reported.
