The IRGC navy said on state TV that it seized a US Remus 600 autonomous underwater vehicle conducting espionage in the Strait of Hormuz using intelligence and electronic warfare, and that specialists were recovering its data, Reuters and AFP reported. CENTCOM spokesman Capt. Tim Hawkins told Al Jazeera the US has positive control of all its operational drone assets, Euronews reported. It was the IRGC's second such claim in September, after a reported capture of an Anduril Dive-LD vehicle earlier in the month. The IRGC repeated that the strait is closed.
