Iran said on 12 July it attacked US-linked sites in Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar and Oman, including Al Udeid in Qatar and port facilities at Duqm in Oman, and the UAE said its air defences engaged missiles and drones, the Guardian and Al Jazeera reported. Qatar's interior ministry said three people including a child were wounded by falling shrapnel; Kuwait said three border posts were damaged and a drone hit an offshore drilling platform, injuring a worker. Oman summoned Iran's ambassador over drones targeting Musandam and al-Batinah, and the US embassy told Americans in Duqm and Musandam to shelter. Qatar had not been attacked since April, and the UAE since early May.
