The Sierra Leone-flagged bulk carrier Razoni left Odesa on 1 August with about 26,000 tonnes of corn bound for Tripoli, Lebanon, the first cargo ship to leave a Ukrainian Black Sea port since late February. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres welcomed the departure, and the Kremlin called it very positive. The ship was inspected off Istanbul by a Joint Coordination Centre team. RFE/RL later reported the Lebanese buyer refused the cargo and the ship turned up in Tartus, Syria.
