Medical sources told AFP that hospitals on Yemen's Red Sea coast received 16 dead and 22 wounded from pro-government forces after a Houthi attack on positions in the Jabal Dabbas area that began late on 3 July and was repelled by dawn on 4 July, Al Jazeera reported. Yemeni minister Walid al-Qudaimi said more than 50 Houthi fighters were killed; the Houthis gave no figure. The fighting came amid rising Houthi-Saudi tension over flights to Sanaa.
