Trump and Zelensky held a face-to-face meeting in St Peter's Basilica in Rome on 26 April before the funeral of Pope Francis, which the White House called very productive, the Guardian reported. A day earlier US envoy Steve Witkoff had held three hours of talks with Putin in Moscow, after which Trump said most major points were agreed.
