Saudi Arabia's energy ministry said the Houthis attacked a number of energy facilities and utilities in the kingdom's southern region early on 8 September, causing fires at several sites and temporarily halting some operations, Reuters reported. The Saudi foreign ministry, via the Saudi Press Agency, said the attacks wounded 73 people and that the kingdom would take all necessary measures to defend its sovereignty. Haaretz reported four southern cities were hit. The Houthis have attacked Saudi shipping and territory since July, when they abandoned the 2022 truce.
